The weather will be varied over the long weekend, with light rain in the western part of the country on Friday, scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, and cloudy and sunny weather on Sunday and Monday.
Temperatures are rising, with 23 degrees Celsius expected in the warmest hours on Monday, according to the National Meteorological Service’s national medium-range forecast sent to MTI on Thursday.
Friday will be mainly sunny and cloudy during the first half of the day, with clouds thinning from the west from the afternoon. In the most western part of the country, light rain is possible. The south, southeast winds will become stronger in the west region, sometimes accompanied by strong gusts. Daytime highs will be between 14 and 20 degrees in the afternoon.
On Saturday, clouds will thin and break up from the west and clouds are expected to form. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Winds will remain mostly moderate with variable direction. Temperatures will generally be between 4 and 10 degrees Celsius at dawn, warming to 15-23 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
Sunday will be cloudy and sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The wind from the north may increase in the lowlands and northeast. Minimum temperatures will be between 2 and 11 degrees Celsius, and maximum temperatures between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius.
On Monday, May 1, there will be mostly sunny spells with clouds and increasing cloud cover in the west, with only occasional showers. East winds will become stronger in many places, with a temperature of 2-10 degrees at dawn and 18-23 degrees in the afternoon.
