Speaking about the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, Miklós Szánthó said that Hungary says no to migration, gender madness, and war, and that this is reflected in the objectives of Donald Trump’s new presidency. According to the Director General of the Center for Fundamental Rights, Hungary is an island of freedom in the liberal ocean. He will speak at the conference on Friday.

Trump’s inauguration has created a new situation in the world, which is good for conservatives, and especially for Hungarians, emphasized Miklós Szánthó. He pointed out that with the abolition of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), “the globalists have been dealt a deep blow, but the other tentacles of the woke hydra continue to work, so the right-wing wave from both sides of the ocean must be united to take down the globalist political machine.”

Speaking on behalf of CPAC Hungary, Szánthó also said that Trump’s biggest turnaround was the start of peace talks to end the war in Ukraine.

The Hungarian government has been emphasizing this for years, and “now the negotiations have started under the leadership of the US President and it has turned out once again that the Hungarians were not right, but were proved right,”

he said.

On the sidelines of the conference, a Friends of CPAC event was held at the Hungarian Embassy in Washington. Szánthó pointed out that in the United States, Donald Trump’s “America First” policy has won, while in Europe, the Patriots for Europe movement is gaining strength, but they can only make a difference if they join forces. “Only if we can unite the waves from both sides of the Atlantic will the revolutions of common sense be able to win a complete victory,” he said.

He added that the right had much work to do, and explained that

the scale of the damage done to our civilization by the cultural manipulation of the left is such that, despite the great victories, we must recognize that we have won the right to just another day of struggle.”

The reception at the Hungarian Embassy was addressed by Kinga Gál, Fidesz MEP and Vice President of Patriots for Europe, and a welcome speech was given by Ambassador Szabolcs Takács.

Gál attended a conversation with Mercedes and Matt Schlepp, organizers of CPAC, about the Patriots becoming strengthened since last year’s European Parliament elections. The Hungarian politician pointed out that people in Europe want change and common sense to return to politics, and that is what the Patriots parties represent today.

Balázs Orbán, the Prime Minister’s political director, pointed out at CPAC that while Donald Trump has won, sweeping the liberals out of U.S. leadership, Europe remains stuck in a leadership crisis. “It’s time for us to do the same in Europe—remove the failed liberal elites and restore politics that truly serve the people,” he wrote in a post on X. He added that the Hungarian and the US governments see eye to eye on matters such as illegal migration and the Ukraine war.

“With Trump back in office, the West is healing—but our work isn’t over. Our opponents are working together, so we, as national conservatives, must also stand united,” he concluded.

CPAC, a traditional event of American conservatives, has been held annually in the United States since 1974. This year’s conference runs from Thursday to Saturday at the National Harbor Convention Center near Washington, DC.
