Coronavirus: 77 Fatalities, Almost 4,000 New Cases Registered in Hungary

Altogether 77 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 3,862  new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 142,456, while hospitals are treating 3,210 Covid-19 patients, 126 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 44,211 deaths have been recorded, while 1,796,982 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,610,315 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,395,509 people have received a first jab, while 6,171,552 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,813,406 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 9,646 people in official quarantine, while 10,818,978 tests have been officially carried out.
