Altogether 84 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 72 hours, while 5,223 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 100,067, while hospitals are treating 1,887 Covid-19 patients, 60 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 45,342 deaths have been recorded, while 1,844,581 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,699,172 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,401,980 people have received a first jab, while 6,186,269 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,841,840 Hungarians have received a booster jab and 256,021 have also received the fourth dose.

There are 8,857 people in official quarantine, while 11,086,534 tests have been officially carried out.
