Altogether 35 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 2,651  new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 102,239, while hospitals are treating 1,971 Covid-19 patients, 71 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 45,220 deaths have been recorded, while 1,836,919 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,689,460 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,400,875 people have received a first jab, while 6,184,076 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,836,209 Hungarians have received a booster jab and 245,137 have also received the fourth dose.

There are 8,411 people in official quarantine, while 11,040,273 tests have been officially carried out.
