Altogether 178 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past four days, while 4,902 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.
The number of active infections has decreased to 110,526, while hospitals are treating 2,259 Covid-19 patients, 101 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.
Since the first outbreak, 44,831 deaths have been recorded, while 1,819,264 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,663,907 people have made a recovery.
So far 6,399,413 people have received a first jab, while 6,180,406 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,829,875 Hungarians have received a booster jab and 236,168 have also received the fourth dose.
There are 7,342 people in official quarantine, while 10,962,084 tests have been officially carried out.
