Coronavirus: 101 Fatalities, 6,524 New Cases Reported in Hungary

101 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 6,524 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Friday.

The number of active infections has risen to 105,529, while hospitals are treating 3,070 Covid patients, 291 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 39,780, while 1,282,957 infections have been registered. Fully 1,137,648 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,278,355 people have received a first jab, while 6,006,178 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,217,724 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 20,298 people in official quarantine, while 9,285,125 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
