Coronavirus: 67 Fatalities, 7,883 New Cases Reported in Hungary

67 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 7,883 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.

The number of active infections has risen to 118,945, while hospitals are treating 2,758 Covid patients, 257 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 40,083, while 1,308,877 infections have been registered. Fully 1,149,849 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,297,101 people have received a first jab, while 6,039,940 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,299,569 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 33,421 people in official quarantine, while 9,386,272 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
