Coronavirus: 167 Fatalities, 14,655 New Cases Reported in Hungary

167 patients died of Covid over the past 72 hours, while 14,655 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.

The number of active infections has risen to 111,895, while hospitals are treating 2,931 Covid patients, 281 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 39,947, while 1,297,612 infections have been registered. Fully 1,145,770 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,292,759 people have received a first jab, while 6,027,578 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,286,577 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 21,527 people in official quarantine, while 9,358,739 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
