Coronavirus: 102 Fatalities, More than 5,500 New Cases Registered in Hungary

Altogether 102 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 5,512 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 173,798, while hospitals are treating 4,199 Covid-19 patients, 165 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 43,664 deaths have been recorded, while 1,774,676 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,557,214 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,390,568 people have received a first jab, while 6,161,000 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,796,660 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 14,566 people in official quarantine, while 10,711,279 tests have been officially carried out.
