Coronavirus: 132 Fatalities, More than 6,000 New Cases Registered in Hungary

Altogether 132 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 6,286 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 178,730, while hospitals are treating 4,463 Covid-19 patients, 170 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 43,562 deaths have been recorded, while 1,769,164 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,546,872 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,390,100 people have received a first jab, while 6,159,543 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,794,636 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 14,632 people in official quarantine, while 10,686 340 tests have been officially carried out.
