Coronavirus: 115 Fatalities, 8,578 New Infections Reported in Hungary

Altogether 115 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 8,578  new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 202,738, while hospitals are treating 5,062 Covid-19 patients, 206 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 42,966 deaths have been recorded, while 1,738,944 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,493,240 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,384,828 people have received a first jab, while 6,146,028 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,776,200 Hungarians have received a booster jab and 160,566 have also received the fourth dose.

There are 18,627 people in official quarantine, while 10,570,027 tests have been officially carried out.
