Coronavirus: 91 Fatalities, Almost 12,000 New Infections Reported

Altogether 91 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 11,559 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Friday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 229,710, while hospitals are treating 5,152 Covid-19 patients, 209 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 42,360 deaths have been recorded, while 1,695,991 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,423,921 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,379,065 people have received a first jab, while 6,131,361 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,754,698 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 24,341 people in official quarantine, while 10,429,713 tests have been officially carried out.
