Coronavirus: 215 Fatalities, More Than 7,000 New Cases Registered in Hungary

215 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 7,310 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has risen to 184,527, while hospitals are treating 7,119 Covid patients, 579 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 36,263, while 1,176,038 infections have been registered. Fully 955,248 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,171,489 people have received a first jab, while 5,878,951 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 2,864,506 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 53,187 people in official quarantine, while 8,734,938 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
