436 patients died of Covid over the past four days, while 7,989 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.
The number of active infections has decreased to 118,633, while hospitals are treating 4,063 Covid patients, 409 of whom are on ventilators.
Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 38,743, while 1,245,319 infections have been registered. Fully 1,087,943 people have made a recovery.
So far 6,245,773 people have received a first jab, while 5,957,571 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,136,000 Hungarians have received a booster jab.
There are 17,751 people in official quarantine, while 9,114,949 tests have been officially carried out.
The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
