Coronavirus: 140 Fatalities, 3,586 New Cases Registered in Hungary

140 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 3,586 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 127,251, while hospitals are treating 4,827 Covid patients, 454 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 38,307, while 1,237,330 infections have been registered. Fully 1,071,772 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,245,773 people have received a first jab, while 5,957,571  have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,136,000 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 32,319 people in official quarantine, while 9,058,668 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
