Coronavirus: 139 Fatalities, 3,359 New Cases Registered in Hungary

139 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 3,359 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 135,217, while hospitals are treating 5,159  Covid patients, 464 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 38,167, while  1,233,744 infections have been registered. Fully 1,060,360 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,239,410 people have received a first jab, while 5,951,491 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,124,497 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 31,081 people in official quarantine, while 9,037,023 tests have been officially carried out.

The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
