154 patients died of Covid over the past 24 hours, while 4,977 new coronavirus infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Friday.
The number of active infections has decreased to 154,511, while hospitals are treating 5,856 Covid patients, 519 of whom are on ventilators.
Since the first outbreak, the number of fatalities has risen to 37,530, while 1,218,295 infections have been registered. Fully 1,026,254 people have made a recovery.
So far 6,208,430 people have received a first jab, while 5,923,284 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,065,350 Hungarians have received a booster jab.
There are 45,852 people in official quarantine, while 8,947,845 tests have been officially carried out.
The government re-introduced compulsory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces from November 20.
