Altogether 60 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 72 hours, while 4,657 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.

The number of active infections has increased to 95,067, while hospitals are treating 1,755 Covid-19 patients, 48 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 45,781 deaths have been recorded, while 1,872,664 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,731,816 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,404,348 people have received a first jab, while 6,189,787 have been double-jabbed. Fully 3,852,933 Hungarians have received a booster third shot and 274,965 a fourth shot.

There are 8,681 people in official quarantine, while 11,221,030 tests have been officially carried out.
