Two people who tested positive were already taken off the ship in Romania and quarantined. The other 137 had to leave the ship in the Austrian capital, and were taken to Leipzig by four buses. The ship was immediately quarantined in Vienna.
During the bus trip, the sick and healthy tourists were separated from each other, except for those who had negative tests but wanted to stay close to their infected family members and friends. On the road to Leipzig, the passengers had to wear masks. The drivers of the buses were all vaccinated.
According to press information, none of the infected passengers, including the four crew members, had to be hospitalized.
