Coronavirus: 88 Fatalities, 4,498 New Infections Reported in Hungary

Altogether 88 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 4,498 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Friday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 168,913, while hospitals are treating 3,997 Covid-19 patients, 148 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 43,752 deaths have been recorded, while 1,779,174 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,566,509 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,391,940 people have received a first jab, while 6,163,700 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,801,276 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 14,999 people in official quarantine, while 10,733,913 tests have been officially carried out.
