Coronavirus: 83 Fatalities, 3,500 New Cases Registered in Hungary

Altogether 83 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 3,539 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 142,902, while hospitals are treating 3,313 Covid-19 patients, 133 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 44,134 deaths have been recorded, while 1,793,120 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,606,084 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,395,085 people have received a first jab, while 6,170,630 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,811,803 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 9,800 people in official quarantine, while 10,800,452 tests have been officially carried out.
