Coronavirus: 233 Fatalities, More than 13,000 New Cases Registered over the Weekend

Altogether 233 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 72 hours, while 13,261 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.

The number of active infections has decreased to 189,560, while hospitals are treating 4,741 Covid-19 patients, 176 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 43,299 deaths have been recorded, while 1,759,685 have been registered with the virus. Fully 1,526,826 people have made a recovery.

So far 6,389,336 people have received a first jab, while 6,156,649 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 3,791,546 Hungarians have received a booster jab.

There are 16,290 people in official quarantine, while 10,662,822 tests have been officially carried out.
