The government on Friday said it is launching an information campaign about the national referendum on the child protection law to be held simultaneously with the parliamentary election on April 3.

Governments in many European countries have taken decisions on the issue of children’s sex education without asking the opinion of the people. With its information campaign the government wants to ensure Hungarian people the opportunity to express their opinion on the matter,” the government said, encouraging Hungarians to participate in the referendum.
