The Castle Garden Bazaar is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a festival. The VárkertFeszt (Castle Garden Fest) will offer a program of popular music and other cultural events from May 31 to June 2, and will continue to host a series of events throughout the summer months.

“There is much to be proud of and something to look back on from the past decade: the Castle Garden Bazaar, reopened 10 years ago, has become a popular and unmissable cultural venue in the capital,” noted Krisztina Sikota, Deputy Director General of the venue, at a press conference on Wednesday in Budapest.

The three-day festival, the highlight of the jubilee season, will offer an insight into the colorful and rich program of the Castle Garden Bazaar, with five venues.

Among the concerts at VárkertFeszt, Sikota highlighted the performance of Feró Nagy and Beatrice on the opening day, as the band’s latest line-up will make its debut in front of the Budapest audience at the festival.

Random Trip’s guests will include Kati Kovács and Tibor Tátrai, the Grecsó brothers will present their literary dance production “Többet magunkról” (“More about ourselves”), Andrea Szulák will perform with the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, while Besh o droM will be joined by János Másik, and Szeder & Lóci will also perform.

A literary evening by Anna Juhász and Ádám Bősze will evoke the loves of great artists with the help of Dorottya Udvaros and Viktor Klem, and there will be guided tours of the “I am who I am” exhibition finale in YBL6 Art Space, as well as film screenings, dance performances, family programs, and workshops.

Sikota also talked about the summer programs of the Castle Garden Bazaar, highlighting that
