Bundesliga Club to Loan out Hungarian Football Player to Top Flight Team

Hungary Today 2024.08.22.

Eintracht Frankfurt beat second division Eintracht Braunschweig 4-1 on Monday night to qualify for the next round of the German Cup, but Krisztián Lisztes was not in the squad, reports Magyar Nemzet. Lisztes arrived in Frankfurt from Ferencváros in the summer, but the local press reported a few days ago that he could be loaned out. The Frankfurter Rundschau wrote that the 19-year-old midfielder could end up in the Dutch or Belgian top flight.

In the German Cup (DFB-Pokal), Eintracht Frankfurt had no problems beating second division Eintracht Braunschweig, although the score was 0-0 at half-time, but the final result was 4-1. Interestingly, Eintracht Braunschweig’s goal was scored in the 89th minute by 25-year-old Levente Szabó, who came on in the 85th minute. Neither 19-year-old Krisztián Lisztes nor 18-year-old Noah Fenyő were in the Eintracht Frankfurt squad.

This confirmed press reports that Lisztes, who arrived from Ferencváros in the summer and signed a contract in September last year, could be loaned out by Frankfurt because there is too much competition for his position.

The Frankfurter Rundschau wrote the other day about Krisztián Liszt that “it is likely that the 19-year-old midfielder will be loaned to an ambitious club.” In a later edition, the paper was more specific: Lisztes, like Faride Alidou, four years his senior, could go on loan to the Dutch or Belgian first division. This has already been decided by sporting director Markus Krösche, according to the portal.

However, Krisztián Lisztes has no reason to be disappointed, as Japan’s Daichi Kamada and Brazil’s Tuta have previously followed a similar path, having both won the UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022 after a one-year loan in Belgium, both making the starting line-up in the final.

Krisztián Lisztes only played in a pre-season match for Eintracht Frankfurt.
