Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony on Friday called on Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to extend the 480 forint fuel price cap to public transport, besides private consumers.

Passengers “are already paying one of the highest value-added taxes in the European Union, and now they will also have to pay for higher fuel prices,” he said.
