As in the previous year, the Budapest Circuit (Budapesti Körjárat) will be launched this year on the metropolitan stretch of the Danube. From Friday, April 29, 2022, the boat service will run between the National Theater and Margaret Island.
The boat service stops at Vigadó tér-Akadémia-Margitsziget (Sports Hall)-Batthyány tér-Vigadó tér ports.
The service will run from Tuesday to Sunday, departing every two hours from 12 noon to 8 pm every day. The last service will return to Vigadó Square at 21:15. On Mondays, the boat service is temporarily suspended, the Center for Budapest Transport (BKK) posted on their website.
From Tuesday to Friday, the service can also be used with a BKK monthly pass or a pass with longer validity. However, as the Budapest Circuit service is not a public service, travel discounts on BKK public transport services, such as the free travel for under-14s and over-65s, are not available for boat services.
On Saturdays and Sundays, and for people without a season ticket, a day ticket of HUF 1,500 (EUR 4) is available.
Children under 7 years old travel free.
The ticket entitles the holder to unlimited travel on the day of validity. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Vigadó Square boat station or on board at other ports.
