“Brave Warrior”- Spectacular International Military Exercise Commences

Hungary Today 2024.05.09.

The Hungarian firing ranges are now filled with the sound of gunfire and the crackling of tracked vehicles, as one of the biggest international exercises of the year has begun, writes Magyar Nemzet.

Increased sound effects are to be expected – the Klapka György 1st Armored Brigade of the Hungarian Defense Forces announced on its social media page last Friday. The public has been warned that the “Brave Warrior 2024” exercise will take place between May 6 and 17, resulting in a much higher than usual level of activity for the Hungarian Defense Forces. The brigade already began preparations on May 5, with the deployment of combat vehicles from Tata (northwestern Hungary) to Hajmaskér (central Transdanubia).

An essential element of effective troop movements is that units are always in contact.

The first day of the exercise was thus also a training test for the signalers,

who were able to test their skills from the past six months, while the soldiers exercised together at squad and platoon levels.
