The 15th Budapest Central European Fashion Week’s (BCEFW) Fashion Hub program will feature interactive workshops, fashion presentations, as well as a new series of life story interviews to mark the anniversary season.
On February 15-16, the National Dance Theatre (Budapest) will be home to the BCEFW Fashion Hub, which will cover a broad spectrum of the fashion industry with the latest technological and design innovations of the fashion and beauty industry, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (MDDÜ) announced. As they write,
the professional programs will help visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the fashion and creative industries, while the creative workshops will offer a social experience and the joy of creation.
In addition, the National Dance Theatre will host fashion presentations by eight Hungarian and two international designers, providing an opportunity for face-to-face meetings with designers. The Experience Space, will be open free of charge, and will feature six exciting fashion brands with accessories, while the Beauty Corner will offer a selection of products from three Hungarian beauty brands.
The first guest of the new series of life story interviews, launched to celebrate the jubilee season, will be Ágnes Pataki, who has made her mark as a model, film producer, and beauty industry personality.
In the interview titled Style Icons, Stories, Inspirations, fashion journalist Bence Csalár will chat with Ágnes Pataki. Another exclusive interview with Massimo Morello, the iconic hairdresser of the international fashion world, will discuss the key challenges, visions, and sustainability efforts of his career.
The aim of the “Icons” program is to provide inspiring examples for young professionals and to celebrate the richness of the fashion industry in the country and the region by showcasing the work of the greats of the profession.
Saturday’s Fashion Hub program will start with the Skinaholic Lipstick Lab Workshop. Afterwards, stylist Sára Bálint’s presentation will explore the topic of ‘style as conscious self-expression.’ Dressed for the role – the magic of stage costumes will explore the role of costumes in artistic expression and social discourse through the personal experiences of Ohnody, Marge, and Sila Babé.
“Kreatour” will be a Japanese sashiko sewing workshop led by Andrea Földi, and the day will conclude with a roundtable discussion on Trends, Innovation and Sustainability in Beauty Care, with Adrienn Páll, Szabina Tomán, and Anna Harangvölgyi, on sustainability and innovation in the beauty industry.
Sunday’s program will start with a workshop by Hempy People, showcasing sustainable uses of industrial hemp in textiles, the construction industry, and paper production through practical examples. In the afternoon, Gergely Zámbó, Julie Madarász, and Szonja Lang will share their experiences on the future of sustainability and conscious design in a roundtable discussion Re-HUB – Recycling as the Future of Fashion. At ZEMSE’s aluminum jewelry workshop, Emese Zentai will invite guests to create their own jewelry using simple craft techniques.
To mark the anniversary, all those who register for the Fashion Hub program will receive a unique BCEFW souvenir.
