The application facilitates navigation in the region while offering various trails, destinations, and tourist attractions and services. It also deals with those municipalities that are located a bit further away from the lake. The aim of the app is to make bicycle tourism around Lake Balaton even more attractive and popular, as well as to balance the spatial and temporal concentration of tourism.
The panel highlighted the application’s richness: in addition to 2,800 service providers, it also contains around one thousand free attractions, a listing which is constantly being updated. Another advantage is that the entire content is available in six foreign languages besides Hungarian.
This was the 20th time when the Hungarian Marketing Association awarded the “Website of the Year” and “Application of the Year” prizes. In 2021, some 331 projects have been nominated for the titles.
