After a two-year hiatus, one of Europe’s most prestigious waterfront electronic music festivals, Balaton Sound, returns with big international stars, taking place in Zamárdi until dawn on Sunday.
During the four days of the festival, the world stars of mainstream electronic dance music such as the Dutch Martin Garrix, British Alok, Belgian Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, American Marshmello, Swedish Alesso, German Robin Schulz and Paul van Dyk, Israeli Vini Vici, and Australian Timmy Trumpet will all take to the main stage.
They stressed that this year the biggest Hungarian underground electronic music festival, B my Lake, will be held as part of Balaton Sound, with more than fifty international stars of techno, tech-house, minimal, and house music on two stages.
Performers include Germany’s Paul Kalkbrenner, Sven Vath, Canada’s Richie Hawtin, Australia’s Fisher, Italy’s Deborah de Luca, the US’s Danny Tenaglia, the UK’s Jamie Jones, Italy’s Joseph Capriati, Germany’s Monolink, Ben Böhmer, Argentina’s Hernan Cattaneo, and the UK’s Nick Warren.
According to the organizers, Balaton Sound offers a complex VIP experience with four themed venues, one of which is reminiscent of Las Vegas casinos, another with an indoor pool beach party on the waterfront, and a safari-themed area between the B my Lake stages and the adjoining terraces.
It was also pointed out that Balaton Sound’s nearly one-kilometer of waterfront also provides excellent beachgoing opportunities during the day. The safety of festival-goers will be ensured by an increased number of volunteers and the Safety First function within the Balaton Sound app.
There will also be a fashion show with Borbála Ferencz, Márk Kiss, and Belgian designer Sander Bos, with art direction by Márk Lakatos, according to a press release.
