There is almost nothing that cannot be done with artificial intelligence – just think of ChatGPT, which can write books, or DALL-E, which can create lifelike images. Now it turns out that it is even possible to make a video clip with AI, as a Hungarian band has demonstrated, reports Index.
Hungarian band Szomszéd Srácok made an unusual clip for their new song Balaton, a music video that was partly created with the help of artificial intelligence, something that few people in the world have tried yet.
The idea for the music video came from a video on the Corridor Crew’s YouTube channel, but many parts of the process were created by the band itself. They said to Index that
the biggest challenge for them was that there was no set workflow for the process, so they had to figure out exactly what to do and how to do it on the fly.
As József Bence Balázs, the band’s drummer and the maker of the video, told Index, as part of the making of the video, 150-200 photos of the band members were taken in a special green screen studio and then used in the modeling. The band also came up with their own drawing style, which was used in the making of the clip.
They said that the use of AI was an extremely complex challenge and that hundreds of hours went into the clip. However, with the help of AI, they were able to save time and energy, not to mention the ‘uncanny’ nature of the images created by AI, which also adds an interesting extra visual element.
