A conservative think tank has criticized Amnesty International for what it says is its attempt to promote sex change for school children.
„In the current education system, students are not informed about the rights of members of gender and sexual minorities,” Amnesty International writes in a recent Facebook post. The NGO promotes a project called “Inclusive Spaces“, which aims to “open up new pedagogical pathways for the benefit of both students and professionals, using a wide range of tools”.
They also included a quiz asking what rights LGBTQ people have: marriage, adoption, sex change or registered partnership.
According to the conservative think tank Center for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért Központ), this is Amnesty International’s way of promoting sex change surgeries in schools.
„This is in total open defiance of the constitution and the law, which states that school activities ‘must not be aimed at promoting divergence from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth or sex change”. So Amnesty is encouraging law-breaking – but worse, they want to brainwash children by dodging parents”, they write on Facebook.
