Condor, Germany’s leading leisure airline, will launch a new direct flight between Frankfurt and Budapest on May 1, 2026, coinciding with the launch of flights from Barcelona and Venice, Turizmus.com reports.
The three daily flights will be operated by modern Airbus A320neo aircraft. The new route will be part of the 2026 summer schedule, further strengthening Condor’s presence in the Central European region. The new flight will not only provide a convenient, direct connection between Budapest and Frankfurt, but will also offer ideal transfer options to Condor’s overseas destinations.
The Budapest flight is part of Condor’s “City Flights” concept, launched this year, offering convenient connections between a number of major European cities, including Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Rome, Palermo, Zurich, and Frankfurt.
The daily flights provide quick access to the Frankfurt hub, from where Condor offers connections to nearly 100 destinations worldwide.
With its new European flights, the airline aims to appeal not only to holidaymakers but also to business travelers, announced AVIAREPS Hungary, Condor’s official representative in Hungary.
The existing Vienna-Frankfurt route is becoming increasingly popular among Hungarian passengers, they write. It currently operates once a day, but due to increased demand, it will be expanded to three flights a day from the 2025/26 winter schedule. Vienna-Frankfurt provides convenient access to popular overseas destinations for Hungarian passengers, such as Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Montego Bay, and Cancun.
In addition to the above destinations, Condor flights also serve overseas destinations such as Antigua, Barbados, Los Cabos, and Panama City, as well as major cities in North America, Africa, and Asia, including New York, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Cape Town, Zanzibar, the Seychelles, and Bangkok.
Condor’s Budapest flight will operate from May 1, and is expected to be added to the booking systems at the end of next week.
