Hungary ranks fifth among the most popular destinations for digital nomads due to its relative low cost of living, developed infrastructure, vibrant community, and visa program for digital nomads, Világgazdaság reported.
Surveys estimate that there are between 40 and 80 million digital nomads worldwide. An analysis by the Oeconomus Economic Research Foundation shows that there are several advantages at the national economic level when digital nomads choose a country as their place of work, primarily through tourism and consumption.
