On Monday, the new Audi Q3, manufactured in the northwestern Hungarian city of Győr, celebrated its world premiere in Ingolstadt, Germany. The event, attended by a large number of international and Hungarian press representatives, was also joined by numerous Audi Hungaria employees who played a key role in the development and production. Series production of the compact SUV will commence shortly at the Hungarian plant.

The Audi Q3 has been one of the most popular SUV models in the Audi range for more than a decade, with a total of more than two million units on the road since production began, reads the company’s press release. Following the production of the first-generation models in Martorell, Spain, Audi Hungaria has been manufacturing the second generation of this successful model since 2018. A few months ago, the one millionth vehicle of the second generation was completed, and on Monday evening, the German car manufacturer unveiled the third generation.

The final touches are already being made at the Audi Hungaria vehicle factory, with series production set to begin within weeks.

With over 30 years of experience in powertrain manufacturing and 25 years in vehicle manufacturing, Audi Hungaria is one of the leading players in the Hungarian automotive industry and an important pillar of the Audi and VW Group.

The new Audi Q3 sets new standards in the A segment by further improving quality, being a logical evolution of the previous successful model, and thus represents the entry point into the premium Audi brand for many people, according to the release. The new model combines efficiency, driving dynamics, and comfort, featuring partially electric internal combustion engines with an MHEV system as a plug-in hybrid with long electric range. With plug-in hybrid technology, an electric range of 120 km is possible. The dynamic SUV comes with a spacious interior and modern, customizable digital solutions.
