The Hungarian Cultural Association of Transcarpathia (KMKSZ) may face a ban, sources close to the government and reports from the Transcarpathian news portal Novini Zakarpattya indicate.
Based on the reports, the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are investigating the KMKSZ’s alleged links of individuals accused by Ukraine of spying for Hungary. In early May, two alleged Hungarian spies — a cook and a retired border guard— were arrested at the start of the Hungarian-Ukrainian espionage conflict in Transcarpathia. One of them is said to have received financial support from an organization linked to the KMKSZ, according to Mandiner.
The KMKSZ could also potentially be banned on the grounds that its president, László Brenzovics, fled to Hungary to escape the proceedings launched against him.

Mandiner has also highlighted that Tseber is a direct political opponent of the Hungarian party, as he represents President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s party, Servant of the People, in the Transcarpathian Regional Council—an area with a significant Hungarian minority.
