RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi, who suffered a concussion and an injury to his right ear in a collision against Holstein Kiel on Saturday, was discharged from hospital on Sunday, M4 Sport reported.
In the 62nd minute, Gulácsi collided with Kiel defender David Zec, after which both players fell to the turf and briefly lost consciousness.
The game was stopped for about five minutes, both players had to be substituted, Gulácsi was taken off the pitch on a stretcher and taken to hospital, he had to spend the night there.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper, a key member of the Hungarian national football team, was allowed to leave the clinic on Sunday morning, just in time to return home to his family for Easter.

Péter Gulácsi will have to follow the league’s protocol for head injury cases for the next period. In a multi-step process, symptoms should subside first and then the workload can be increased based on various criteria. For the time being, it is uncertain whether RB Leipzig’s acting Hungarian head coach Zsolt Lőw can count on Gulácsi for Saturday’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
