“The tariff war is not an obstacle, we will implement Europe’s biggest tax reduction program,” the Prime Minister said on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Viktor Orbán said in a video message that on Tuesday, the Hungarian Parliament debated Europe’s biggest tax reduction program, which he said “we are implementing here in Hungary.”
We will introduce lifelong personal income tax exemption for mothers of three and two children,”
he underlined.
Mothers of two children under 40 will become exempt from 2026, and those aged between 40 and 50 will become exempt from 2027. This will be followed by those aged 50-60 from 2028. For mothers over 60 with two children, tax exemption will be introduced from 2029.
The Prime Minister also noted that on Tuesday, the government held a cabinet meeting to review the impact of the tariff war that has broken out in the meantime on the plans.
Hungary is prepared for all eventualities, we will not let the tariff war divert us from the path of tax cuts,”
the Prime Minister stressed, adding “we will introduce the mothers’ personal income tax exemption, and we will implement the biggest tax cut in Europe, because Hungary can do it.”
