The personnel of the “Klapka György” 1st Armored Brigade carried out a live firing exercise with Leopard 2A7HU tanks at the “Nullpont” Firing and Training Ground (in western Hungary) in recent days, Honvédelem.hu reports.
The exercise Bölényroham 2025/2 (Buffalo Attack), named after the emblem of the Vitéz Tarczay Ervin 11th Tank Battalion, is of particular importance for the further development of the training plans for the new type of Leopard tanks.
The Leopard 2A7HU is the Hungarian version of the German Leopard 2A7+, renowned for its advanced technology and capabilities. These tanks feature high accuracy, a modernized, modular turret armor design, and can be equipped with additional active protection systems, offering enhanced safety and performance (protection against incendiary liquids such as Molotov cocktails or napalm).
