An ultramodern, high-precision, fast X-ray machine has been added to one of the internal medicine clinics of the University of Pécs Clinical Center, revealed the higher education institution.
The digital X-ray machine, financed mainly by the Universitas Quinqueecclesiensis Foundation (maintainer of the university), was handed over on Thursday. It helps in diagnosis with the most modern imaging techniques, and meets today’s medical requirements in every aspect, reads the press release.
Dr. Attila Miseta, Rector of the University of Pécs, said at the inauguration event that the early diagnostic and therapeutic methods that have been developed over the past century are generally all related to instrumentation. “Imaging diagnostics is essential to enable us to make the most accurate diagnosis as early as possible,” he emphasized, adding that he hoped that these developments would continue to expand at the Clinical Center in the future.
The C400 ceiling-mounted X-ray system has motorized device positioning and uses digital imaging and post-processing technologies to produce images with outstanding detail and high resolution,
helping to ensure a rapid and accurate diagnosis and thus more efficient patient care.
The state-of-the-art digital image processing system allows for rapid data processing and seamless integration with the clinic’s and the university’s IT network, optimizing workflow. The facility’s advanced radiation dose planning system and the use of automated image processing technologies ensure minimal radiation exposure to patients while maintaining excellent image quality.
The university’s second Department of Internal Medicine and Nephrological Center, where the machine has been set up, treated nearly 28,000 patients last year.
