Following the parent company Audi AG’s report on the production and business figures for the 2024 financial year, the Hungarian subsidiary Audi Hungaria Motor Kft. also published its results for the past year. While vehicle sales and revenue declined at Group level, the plant in Győr (northwestern Hungary) performed relatively well.
“The transformation of the automotive industry has a strong impact on the present and future of all players in the industry, and thus also on Audi Hungaria. The Audi subsidiary in Győr continues to be a strategic part of the international production network of the Audi Group and continued to contribute significantly to the success and profitability of the Brand Group Progressive in 2024,” said Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.
The report shows that the plant produced 1,580,991 powertrains in 2024, 151,899 of which were electric drives. By the end of the year, 179,710 vehicles had rolled off the assembly line in Győr, exceeding the 177,775 vehicles produced in 2023.

Audi Hungaria achieved a turnover of 8.611 billion euros in 2024, that is 491 million euros less than in 2023. The company spent 340 million euros on investments and development, with a focus on preparing the series production of the new generation of electric drives, the MEBeco series, and preparing the production of the successor model of the Audi Q3.
The company has been operating in Győr since 1993, and has invested a total of 12.9 billion euros in its Hungarian site over the past 33 years, making Audi Hungaria the largest investor in the Hungarian automotive industry.
“Our goal is to secure the future competitiveness of the company. In doing so, we are focusing primarily on increasing efficiency and the targeted further development of our product and service portfolio. This is particularly challenging in the current situation of the automotive industry, but with the skills and flexibility of our workforce we will master this challenge,” said Achim Grewe, Member of the Board of Management for Finance, IT, Purchasing, and Compliance at Audi Hungaria.
