Arriving Earlier to Budapest Airport Is Now Crucial

The renovation of the bridge leading to Terminal 2 of Liszt Ferenc International Airport will begin on Thursday and is expected to be completed in June 2025. The works will lead to traffic restrictions on the arrivals level: passengers will not be able to drive up to the departure (upper) level of the airport, while the area used for boarding and alighting will be reduced on the arrivals (lower) level.

Budapest Airport has also warned that parking regulations will be tightened in its operating area. “Budapest Airport has been preparing for the renovation works for months in order to ensure that traffic flows smoothly during this period, and the temporary traffic regime has been designed to ensure the area’s permeability as much as possible. As with curbside,

passengers will be able to use the Terminal Car Park, marked with green signs, and the City Break Car Park, marked with purple signs, free of charge for 5 minutes, twice a day,”
