The days when the globalist elite used foreign-funded organizations, media, and political networks to undermine democratic governments and control public discourse are over. Hungary will dismantle these networks and cut their money spigots, the Secretary of State for International Communications and Relations of the Prime Minister’s Office wrote on his social media page on Saturday.
In his post, Zoltán Kovács claimed that “the biggest international liberal scandal in history is unfolding before our eyes,” which the liberal left is hastily trying to cover up, but with the election of US President Donald Trump, “the collapse of the left-wing liberal network has become unstoppable.”
He argued that USAID (United States Agency for International Development) has long been known to be a political weapon of the Democrats, but now it has been exposed as an organization that “has interfered in the politics of sovereign nations with billions of US taxpayer dollars.” According to Kovács,
the aim of the liberals was to fund left-wing NGOs, manipulate the media, and impose their woke ideology on the world under the guise of “democracy” and “rule of law.”
USAID has funded George Soros’s global network, and one of the key Soros organizations, the East-West Management Institute, has received $260 million from the agency to use for left-wing political ends,” the Secretary of State wrote. US taxpayers’ money did not go to development programs but to build Soros’ empire, he added. Despite all this, “the Soros network is not retreating, but expanding,” as “George Soros’ son Alex himself admitted in an interview with Financial Times that $85 million was spent in 2024 to put Kamala Harris in power,” Kovács pointed out.

He wrote that after the exposure of USAID, the liberal elite is now shifting its operations to Europe, according to MEP Daniel Freund, who has been attacking Hungary for years. He “has recently been agitating for Brussels to take over the funding role of USAID, i.e. for the European Union institutions to become the main source of funding for radical NGOs and left-wing media.” Kovács noted that Politico, which “has been smearing Hungary for years, received $34 million in US federal funding under the previous Democratic administration.” In his opinion, this also shows that it cannot be considered independent.
One of the most desperate moves, Kovács said, was that “the moment people started to connect the dots, the US embassy in Budapest suddenly deleted 140 press releases from its website,” because these documents were linked to former ambassador David Pressman, “the man who ran the USAID liberal network in Hungary.”
According to Kovács, what “for years has been labelled as paranoia is now an undeniable reality: for years, the globalist elite has used foreign-funded NGOs, media, and political networks to undermine democratically elected governments and control public discourse,” he said, saying that this is over.
