Liverpool head coach Arne Slot spoke highly about Milos Kerkez, the Hungarian national team’s left-back, who is currently playing for Premier League side Bournemouth. According to Arne Slot, 21-year-old Kerkez is having a “great season,” reports Index.
In the 24th round of the English top-flight football championship, Bournemouth-Liverpool (0-2) faced each other. Both Hungarian internationals, Dominik Szoboszlai (captain of the Hungarian national team) and Milos Kerkez, were on the pitch throughout the match.
“I don’t think I have to talk about players that we are interested in, let alone a player from Bournemouth,” Slot said.
He’s playing over here, he’s having a great season as many, many, many other players here are as well.”
He went on to praise Richard Huges, former sports director of Bournemouth, who is currently employed at Liverpool FC. He was the one who brought Milos Kerkez to Bournemouth. “[Richard Hughes] brought in very good players and this manager works with them in an incredible way, because he brings the best out of every single player – including the one you just mentioned, but I’m not talking about an individual.”

Bournemouth returned to the English top flight in 2022, and have enjoyed considerable success since then. They currently sit seventh in the table, just one point behind Manchester City.
Milos Kerkez joined Bournemouth in 2023, and has since become a key player.
It is no coincidence that Kerkez has been mooted on a number of occasions recently, with Manchester United and Liverpool among the clubs that have been in the running, but the latest news is that Manchester United could be the club to beat.
