At the Pizza Senza Frontiere – World Pizza Champion Games in Rimini, Italy, about 600 pizza makers from around the world came together to compete in the World Pizza Championship. Eventually, a restaurant from Budapest managed to win the title of the world’s best pizza, reports Promotions.hu.
The five-day competition held in Rimini, showcased the skills of the competitors in a total of 17 categories. From Hungary, László Damu of Forni di Napoli restaurant in Budapest won the title of the world’s best pizza.
Forni di Napoli proudly shared the news on their Facebook page, writing that this victory was not only their success but also a historic moment for Hungarian gastronomy. They added that they had created a pizza with passion, excellent ingredients, and the highest level of expertise, which had won the hearts of international judges and pizza fans.

The pizza masters at Forni di Napoli have traveled not only across Italy, but across Europe, and have gathered their experience and are now sharing it with their guests through authentic Neapolitan pizzas and pasta dishes.
The 80-seat restaurant serves 29 types of pizza, three different salads, nine desserts and pasta dishes, and it is worth booking a table as they are usually always full.
This was not the first prestigious international competition in which the restaurant competed. In mid-January, Forni di Napoli also won first place in the Pizza Europa League professional competition in Nuremberg, Germany.
