Hungary Today 2024.12.09.

Milos Kerkez is playing a key role for Bournemouth, who beat Tottenham 1-0 in the Premier League on Thursday. The Hungarian left-back is in the queue at England’s biggest clubs, with Manchester United and Liverpool also indicating they are keen to sign him. However, Real Madrid is also rumored to be keeping an eye on the 21-year-old athlete, Magyar Nemzet reports.

Hungarian national team football player Milos Kerkez is proving week in, week out that he is one of the biggest talents in Premier League. He has scored his first goal in the English league this season, contributed two assists, and is a key player in his team.

Liverpool and Manchester United are locked in a fierce battle for Kerkez – the 21-year-old Hungarian is rumored to cost £50 million (€60 million) – but according to Realmadridconfidencial.com, 15-time European Cup winners and two-time UEFA Cup winners Real Madrid are also in the running. As the portal writes,

the left-back is in the sights of Real Madrid, who are finding it increasingly difficult to sign Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies at left-back and are looking at other options.

This is how Milos Kerkez came into play.

The 21-time Hungarian national team player has proven his worth on the international stage, holding his own in strong leagues such as the Dutch Eredivisie and the Premier League.

A year and a half ago, Bournemouth paid AZ Alkmaar just over €15 million for Kerkez, whose contract with his current club runs until 2028.

The aforementioned transfer fee is unlikely to be an issue for Real Madrid.

However, the portal points out that Alphonso Davies is still Real Madrid’s number one candidate, while Nb1.hu reports that Miguel Gutiérrez of Girona has been mentioned as a possible option alongside Kerkez.
