Europe has many magical ice rinks, whether inside Advent markets or hidden away in historic neighborhoods, writes Turizmus.com. The most popular ice rinks have now been revealed, with the City Park Ice Rink making the list.
According to a list compiled by European ferry company DFDS, the top ten include iconic locations across the continent. DFDS looked at 75 natural and artificial outdoor ice rinks in Europe, found the average number of Google searches for each from December to February, and determined which were most popular.
London’s Winter Wonderland ice rink in Hyde Park ranks first, with its vibrant atmosphere of lights, fairground attractions, and festive cheer.
Budapest’s City Park Ice Rink takes the second spot, offering skaters breathtaking views of Vajdahunyad Castle.
Strasbourg’s Christmas Market ice rink secures third place, set in the picturesque Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Other notable mentions are Amsterdam’s Ice*Amsterdam, Berlin’s Neptune Fountain Ice Rink, and Vienna’s Ice World, each promising memorable winter experiences. These rinks highlight Europe’s unique blend of culture, history, and seasonal festivities.
