The Sziget Festival has announced its first wave of performers for the highly anticipated 2025 edition, scheduled from August 6 to 11 on Budapest’s Óbuda Island (Hajógyári Island). The lineup already boasts over 40 names, featuring global music icons, groundbreaking artists, and crowd favorites from various genres, writes Magyar Nemzet.

Leading the roster is Nelly Furtado, a pop sensation with over 20 billion streams and 45 million albums sold. Known for her chart-topping hits and innovative songwriting, Furtado released her long-awaited album, 7, earlier this year, marking her triumphant return to the spotlight.

Joining her is Charli XCX, whose 2024 album Brat has amassed hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify. Charli’s dynamic stage presence and global hits make her a must-see act.

Also performing is Chappell Roan, whose hit Pink Pony Club catapulted her to stardom and earned her six Grammy nominations for 2025.

Fans of electronic music can look forward to performances by Anyma (Matteo Milleri known from Tale of Us), known for blending music, art, and technology. His Genesys series continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Trance legend Armin van Buuren and German DJ Boris Brejcha, a pioneer of melodic minimal techno, are also set to electrify the festival. Justice, the iconic French electronic duo, will return with new material, promising an unforgettable show.

The lineup also features indie rockers Blossoms, theatrical rock trio Palaye Royale, and a mix of acclaimed DJs and rising stars, including Adriatique, Fatima Yamaha, and Kenya Grace.

From techno to indie, pop to trance, the festival offers something for every music lover.

Next year’s Sziget Festival continues its legacy as one of Europe’s premier music events, combining world-class performances with the vibrant atmosphere of Budapest. With more acts yet to be announced, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be a spectacular celebration of music and culture.

Tickets and further details are available on the festival’s official website, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.
